NB-UVB is the only well-established vitiligo treatment that can be used as monotherapy achieving both pigmentation and stabilization whenever corticosteroids are contraindicated or immune-suppression is unjustified. Nonetheless, its combination with corticosteroids expedites response and improves compliance.
